Stock Officer Milton Fa'asu taking an inventory of stock in the KOSI warehouse
Is there enough product to meet demand? Are there materials available to produce these products? Can we get materials accessible in time to manufacture these products? Do we have the systems and do these systems capture with accuracy our inventory usage and transactions? How do we get the right balance to ensure we do not over stock with storage costs, or worse, understock that we are unable to meet demand and lose sales? And more importantly, does the physical stock match 100% with what’s in our systems?
For our stock team these are some of the questions we ponder and work to get right in Inventory Management.
With over 10 KOSI product lines and 200 plus valued distributors around Honiara, provinces and overseas, the KPSI Stock Team of two must work tirelessly to source and ensure production materials are available for the Production team to manufacture and make available products for the ever-changing demand out there.
To do this the team, with better forecasting, source and procure a balanced inventory at minimal costs ahead of time from various local & overseas suppliers and arrange logistics before current stock materials are depleted so KPSI can deliver without delay.
With available products our stock team can store and issue products on demand to sales for distribution. On a typical day, orders are received from sales, issued to our stock officer who checks and prepare ordered products and release them to the sales delivery team for delivery to our customer within a day.
This goes a long way in helping you, our customers get your favourite KOSI products as our officers have products ready for packaging and delivery on time meeting demands.
Using our inventory systems, not only that the work we do is vital in optimising Resource Allocation & Minimizing Costs but also enhance customer service and improve the overall business operation.
We, the KPSI Stock Team strive to make sure that your favourite product does not run out from your nearest shop shelf and would like to assure you that with any stock outs, the team is working very hard to make sure you do not miss a day shining and beautiful with your locally made KOSI Products.
